Shipping Optics Across Borders: Packing, Documents and Returns

How optical modules and patch cables are packed, documented and delivered across borders, and how returns are coordinated.

Updated October 2026 · AltoChip team · General reference — project specifics are confirmed in each quotation.

Packing

Optics ship with dust caps fitted, in anti-static packaging, inside cartons that keep modules from moving. Patch cables are coiled to respect bend radius and labeled by link type when requested.

Documents and compliance

Commercial invoice, packing list with serial numbers, and origin information travel with each shipment. Trade and export requirements are reviewed case by case based on the product, destination, end user and end use — see Export & Compliance.

Delivery and returns

International freight and US delivery are coordinated through our parent company, AU SUPERIOR INC. Returns follow the terms in your quotation and need an RMA reference first — see Returns & RMA.
