Memory compatibility & selection

Tell us the server, and the path to the right module is mechanical: platform, rules, recommended grade, part number, quote. This page walks it.

Knowledge pages are educational references, independent of sales inventory. Items without confirmed sourcing are reference-spec — quoted on demand.

The selection path

Server modelIdentify generation from the model name - R740 = Dell 14th Gen, DL380 Gen10 = HPE Gen10.
RulesSpeed follows CPU generation; RDIMM and LRDIMM never mix; channels populate evenly.
Recommended grade2666V for 1st Gen Scalable, 2933Y for 2nd Gen, 3200AA for 3rd Gen and EPYC.
Part numberPick Samsung, SK hynix or Micron - exact P/Ns below.
QuoteSend P/N and quantity; compatibility check is free with every RFQ.
